The Cocktail Inspired by Rosewater Driftwood
Elegantly elevate your next soirée by offering a signature drink. For a late afternoon lunch, we created a serene and romantic cocktail, rich in color and light in flavor inspired by our Rosewater Driftwood fragrance. For tips on curating the perfect libation for your next occasion, read on below post recipe.
The Rosewater Driftwood Cocktail
- Serves one:
- 1.5 oz. Vodka
- 0.75 oz. Rose Liqueur
- 0.5 oz. Rosewater
- 0.5 oz. Cranberry Juice
- 1 Organic Rose Petal, to garnish
To make the cocktail, combine vodka, rose liqueur, rosewater, and cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled stemmed glass. Garnish with an organic rose petal. Serve and enjoy.
Enjoying the drink, however, is much simpler than selecting the perfect cocktail. Which can be a feat within its own right. In that case, we have created a few simple guidelines to ensure your cocktail is tasteful and visually pleasing.
Keep the location in mind.
Including notes of the region, city or setting can tie the entire affair together. For example, if you’re at the Cape, consider a beverage native to the region. Perhaps something in the New England Highballs’ family. Add a local touch with ingredients from a community distillery for a truly curated theme.
Complement the theme.
Match the mood of the evening to your libation of choice. If a light and airy celebration, think a fruitful blend with bubbles. For a black-tie event, make it more substantial with a bourbon-centric beverage or a whiskey drink.
Provide a palette.
Weddings commonly offer options suited for two entirely different tastes. Deliberate if this would best match your gathering, depending on size and audience. If so offer two, characterizing both with distinctively different spirits and flavors. Think what will please your guests and your own personal palette.
